PHYSICAL STATION
Physical recovery infrastructure. Modular workspaces to recover, sort, weigh and prepare recyclables closer to where waste is generated.
We deploy and operate recyclable material recovery stations at the source
Tanzanian businesses and enterprises send their waste to landfills and dumpsites, locking away recyclables that local recyclers need. Those recyclers rely on a fragile informal chain, exposed to climate shocks, regulatory pressure and uncertain supply.
Recovering recyclable materials at the source, with informal‑sector youth working alongside formality and technology, secures that supply and unlocks more value.
We deploy and operate modular material recovery stations at the source of waste. Trained youth workers recover and sort recyclables for supply to local recyclers.
Every batch is weighed on an IoT‑enabled scale that sends the weight automatically to our platform. These weigh records are our single source of truth for recovery performance, emissions and sustainability data.
Our vision is to connect many WAFLO HUBS, each with its own digital twin, on one shared platform, turning waste into value at scale. WAFLO HUB brings together three components working as one: the physical station, the youth workforce and the digital twin.

Pilot data: 11 months of public hotspot operation + 6 months of toll processing
These videos are from a six‑month pilot with Ikale Recycling Industry, evaluating an asset‑light model for flexible plastic recovery and waste recycling. They capture material sourcing at urban buy‑back stations, from where it is delivered and processed into recycled resin for our partner’s in‑house products and factories. The model shows promise, but scalable, on‑demand material sourcing remains an area for deep innovation.
